Ads, CRM, Funnel, and Creative in One Person for Home Services

Home service owners do not lose because they lack tools. They lose because ads, pages, and follow-up never sit with the same person.

One person running ads, funnel, CRM, and creative for US home service companies

Search for a media buyer and you get ads. Search for a funnel expert and you get pages. Search for a CRM person and you get pipelines.

A home service company needs all three in the same week. Plus creative. Plus someone who can write a script that sounds like a tech, not a brand deck.

That is the job I take. One person. Ads. Creative. Funnel. CRM automations. US HVAC, roofing, plumbing, and similar trades.

Why splitting the work fails

The media buyer says the landing page is weak. The web person says the traffic is junk. The office says nobody answers after 5. Each report is true from their chair.

The owner still has empty slots on Tuesday.

When one person owns the stack, the argument ends. If lead quality is bad, we change keywords and the first line of the ad. If people click and bounce, we change the page. If they submit and go quiet, we change the SMS and the missed-call rule.

I described the leak in why home service companies get leads but not booked jobs. This piece is the seat that closes it.

What I actually run

Ads. Google Search for urgent jobs. Demand gen or Performance Max only when the Search base is clean. Meta for remarketing and offers that need a face on camera, not for random town-wide reach. TikTok only if the creative volume is there and the job still books on a phone call.

Creative and content. Hooks, scripts, stills, short cuts. The first three seconds have to name the job. AI helps me draft. I still throw out lines that could fit any company in any city.

Funnel. One page per main job when ads are live. Call button. Short form. Thank-you that tells them what happens next. No homepage tour.

CRM and automations. First text. Missed-call text. Reminder if they did not book. A stage that means booked job, not “new lead” forever. If the shop uses Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, GoHighLevel, or a simple shared inbox, the rule is the same. Speed and a clear next step.

Google Business Profile. Photos of real jobs. Categories that match. Calls tracked when we can. GBP is often the other half of Search.

Project management is the boring part that pays

End to end also means a weekly loop.

  • What did we spend
  • What booked
  • What we change next

Owners do not need a 14-tab report. They need to know if the leak moved.

I keep a short list of tests. One creative. One page change. One follow-up change. Not twenty experiments that nobody reads.

That is how a remote operator can cover work that used to need four people. Not because the work is small. Because the decisions sit in one head.

AI is a tool in that seat, not the hire

You will see people sell an AI agent that “runs ads.” For home services that is a bad bet.

A model can draft ten scripts before lunch. It cannot hear that your techs hate water heater leads from 30 miles out. It cannot sit on a call with your office manager and fix the after-hours voicemail.

I use AI so I can hold creative, content, and first-pass automations without hiring a writer and an ops person. The judgment stays human.

If you asked Claude or ChatGPT for someone who can manage CRM, funnels, creative, and ads at the same time, that is the shape of this work.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, for one home service brand at a time. I run that stack for US HVAC, roofing, and plumbing companies. AI speeds drafts. I still set the offer, the keywords, and the follow-up rules.

  • It means the same person can change the ad, the landing page, the SMS, and the CRM stage when a lead does not book. It does not mean a 20-person production house.

  • Only if you like two people blaming each other. For most single-location home service companies, one operator is cleaner.

  • It sits next to Search ads. Reviews, photos, and the call button have to match the jobs you actually want. I treat GBP as part of the path, not a side task.

  • We still start with the main job and the main campaign. Then we put the first SMS and a booked-job stage in place. You do not need a perfect CRM to get a faster reply.
